The drastic fall in the copper prices that we witnessed during the second half of 2011 seems to have finally been reversed. After the low price of almost 3$/lb, the price is on the rise again. COMEX copper has been sold at a rate of 3.48-3.58 $/lb, while LME CU has reached the price of 3.78 $/lb. However, it seems like the price range has remained between 3 and 4.5 $/lb in the last year. But considering that China′s demand is going to rise at 6 per cent this year only, there might be a continuing increase in copper prices.
